GSOV's third presentation for 2026 is the Australian premier of this playful adaptation of Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol with musical gems from the Gilbert & Sullivan operas, and clever new lyrics from Gayden Wren (Entertainment Editor, New York Times.) Includes favourite music from The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, HMS Pinafore, Iolanthe, The Yeomen of the Guard, Patience, Ruddigore and more. 

The show will be accompanied by a live trio or quartet.

Gayden Wren is a New York-based Arts Editor at The New York Times and a passionate G&S fan. As well as a playwright and director, he is the author of “A Most Ingenious Paradox: The Art of Gilbert & Sullivan” (Oxford University Press, 2002), and “Very Truly Yours, Gilbert & Sullivan“.

Single tickets $45 or $40.

Mulled wine and Christmas treats available for purchase.
Seating is cabaret-style with seats on a first come, first served basis. All seats can be turned to face the raised stage.
